Hitoshi Ariga does a great job keeping the insanity of the design while also making it so our heads don't hurt looking at it.
#Catan extension series#
Now that our spotlight series has moved through the first nine sets of this block ( Sun & Moon base, Guardians Rising, Burning Shadows, Crimson Invasion, Ultra Prism, Shining Legends, Forbidden Light, Celestial Storm, and Dragon Majesty), it is now time to look at the next set from this era: Sun & Moon – Lost Thunder. However, that'll be well after the initial table is created.Bleeding Cool's retrospective journey through the Sun & Moon era of the Pokémon TCG continues. The only change in the rules is that there is a building round at the end of each turn in which any player can build. I'm also considering building some inserts to tighten the ends for smaller playing surfaces, for instance, playing without the expansion will result in a shorter board, so an insert would tighten things up. Allows you to add up to two more opponents to The Settlers of Catan.

I want to make the playing area big enough to hold every expansion but not whereby the tiles can slide apart. Nonetheless, with all the other dimensions, it'll fit into place. Given that tiles are hexes, I can deduce the corner angles to be 60 degrees. Length of long side edge (without expansion) Length of long side edge (with expansion for additional players) The overall square dimensions are roughly 29 1/2" by 41" (75cm by 104cm).

I know the dimensions of individual tiles, but the rest is an educated guess. Now five to six players can explore and settle Catan The 5-6 Player Expansion for The Settlers of Catan allows you to add up to two more opponents without. I am hoping one of you kind game enthusiasts would lay out your game board and provide me with exact measurements (centimeters or inches, I'm not picky). I do own Settlers of Catan and some expansions (C&K, Seafarers), so I have basic dimensions. Unfortunately the poster who created the table (claims all specifics are in the images) neglected to include dimensions of the playing surface for the board game.

I'd like to make a similar one for my niece, but it's a surprise, so I don't want to tip my hand and ask her for the dimensions.

Greetings! I've seen a wooden table created just for Settlers of Catan and all expansions here:
